SUMMARY:Mid-Week *LONG* Run-Waterfall Cafe\, Mt Penang Parklands\, Somersby/Kariong
DESCRIPTION:Leisurely drive via the 'Old Pac' scenic route to the Central Coast. \nPlease join us on our monthly longer mid-week run\, this time to the popular Waterfall Cafe\, Mt Penang Gardens.  \nWaterfall Cafe is nestled over the cascading ponds of the Mount Penang Parklands\, the gateway to the Central Coast. Set against the walkway entrance to the gardens themselves\, it is a beautiful place to eat or enjoy a coffee with friends. Easy to get to/from as well. \nMount Penang Gardens covers 8 hectares and is home to 1000 native plants\, with meandering pathways past themed gardens\, sculptures and magnificent water features. \nThere is plenty of free close by parking and there are NO hills. \nMotorbikes and cars\, all welcome.  \nMeet /Start: Apex Park car park Mona Vale Beach\, off Darley St East. Arrive from 9.45 a.m. \nWe then depart 10.00 a.m via Mona Vale Rd to our additional meeting point\, outside Bunnings Belrose on Mona Vale Rd (before slip road to Narabang Way)\, where we depart as soon as the cars arrive\, approximately 10.20 a.m. Please be here no later than 10.15am if you are joining us at this location. \nWe then travel via Mona Vale Rd through St Ives\, Telegraph Rd Pymble through to Pacific Hwy Wahroonga then M1 to turn off to Berowra exit\, then Old Pacific Highway to Cowan truck rest stop.  \nHere we will re-group and depart between 11am and 11.15am approximately. Continue and follow Old Pacific Highway to Calga\, turn right then follow Old Pacific Hwy to Somersby/Kariong and then it's only a short distance to destination. Driving time approximately 1hr 45 mins from Mona Vale to Kariong\, with estimated arrival 11.45-12.00 pm the cafe. \nCost: Individual payment at venue \nNote: Contact Nigel in the event of wet weather!!! \nBooking: RSVP preferred and please stipulate your joining place\, so that we know who to look out for and where.
