DESCRIPTION:AutoBrunch St Ives is a monthly coming together of enthusiasts with a myriad of eclectic vehicles. These range from exotic supercars through to veteran/vintage cars and British\, American and European classics. \nFrom 1920’s to present day\, there is always something different to feast your eyes on. This is a large monthly event\, free of charge to enter and display. \nPMEA Club members are invited to display their vehicles. The event is organised by the North Shore Sporting Car Club. \nToday\, PMEA will be holding a BYO breakfast picnic in conjunction with the above. Please follow the road to the left and continue around the back of the oval until you see the ‘PMEA’ banner. Please park in the designated area as per the below map \n \nUsually 200+ vehicles on show from veteran to modern. It’s a nice location with lots of space\, shade and toilets. You will need to get in early if you want a good spot to park and display. \nThe Lions Club offers egg and bacon rolls and selling soft drinks to raise funds. SUMMARY:Unique Vehicle Charity Display Day\, RMYC Newport
DESCRIPTION:PMEA will again participate in this yearly unique charity fundraising display day at the Royal Motor Yacht Club Newport.  \nDonations this year are to Bear Cottage\, with Royal Motor Yacht Club also donating funds in addition to public donations at the entry gates. \nDisplay your PMEA car or bike and display with pride\, while helping a great cause. There will be three PMEA Official Judges appraising the vehicles on display.  \nDon’t forget to bring your PMEA Windscreen Banner too.  \nPresentation awards commence at approximately 2pm. Trophies will be awarded to the winners of each 11 categories. \nThis is our major fundraiser of the year\, so whether you are participating\, or just coming to enjoy viewing the cars and bikes\, please do support your club and donate to a good cause. Club volunteers will be assisting at the entry point gazebos during the day to collect donations and hand out people’s choice voting slips. \nMeet /Start: Gates open from 7.00am for vehicles pre-booked. NO entry permitted for vehicles NOT pre-booked. Vehicles must be in place by 9.00am. \nPlease park in numbered bay allocated to you at the entry gate.  A PMEA marshal will direct you to your allocated parking space in the lower carpark.  Public viewing from 9.30am. \nDeparture: NOT before 3pm. SUMMARY:National Motoring Heritage Day 2023\, Berry Showground
DESCRIPTION:PMEA members may wish to partake in the NSW National Motoring Heritage Day celebrations across various locations in NSW. \nBerry Showground is the largest Display in NSW\, hosted by the Shoalhaven Historic Vehicle Club. The theme will be “ Fashion and Transport Through The Years  1900 to 1990’s” and participants are encouraged to dress to suit the era. The event is supported by the Council Of Motor Clubs NSW (CMC). \nAll owners of Vintage\, Historic and Classic vehicles of all years and marques and special interest are invited to attend. The last 2021 Event (2022 was cancelled) exceeded over 600 vehicles. The day starts at 7am and concludes around 2pm. Judging of vehicles will take place between 9am and 12 noon. \nPMEA vehicle owners wishing to be part of the Berry display need to register their vehicles for entry no later than Sunday\, 7th May 2023. SUMMARY:Defence of Sydney Tunnel Tour- North Fort\, North Head
DESCRIPTION:Established in 1936\, North Fort is a remnant military complex at North Head Sanctuary in Manly. Strategically placed at the northern entrance to Sydney Harbour\, the fort was part of a defence system that spanned 300km of coastline during World War II. \nThe Defence of Sydney Tour is an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the men and women who served at North Fort. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide\, you will marvel at heritage gun emplacements and descend into the 200-metre-long military tunnel complex. Finally\, our guide will demystify an underground bunker once shrouded in secrecy: The Plotting Room. As you explore this facility\, concealed within bushland\, you’ll hear how our specialist volunteers faithfully restored it. \nTour Duration is 1hr 45 mins.  \nPMEA have exclusively arranged two tours with voluntary guides\, one departing at 10.30 am and one departing at 11.30am. \nThese two tours are for PMEA Members Only. \nWe will have breakfast/brunch beforehand\, see separate information for Bella Vista Cafe (no booking required for cafe). \nMeet /Start: Meet 8am Mona Vale Library carpark. These range from exotic supercars through to veteran/vintage cars and British\, American and European classics. \nFrom 1920’s to present day\, there is always something different to feast your eyes on. This is a large monthly event\, free of charge to enter and display. \nPMEA Club members are invited to display their vehicles. The event is organised by the North Shore Sporting Car Club.  \nUsually 200+ vehicles on show from veteran to modern. It’s a nice location with lots of space\, shade and toilets. You will learn of the location near South Creek Road of a den of iniquity where mini minors spring from the grave\, to be refurbished into their former glory of police pursuit cars . \nThe circumstances of bold Barry’s last four motor vehicles of many varieties\, plus his restoration skills that made him a sought after builder of heritage homes\, and Solomon Island Bure’s. SUMMARY:MG & BMC Minis Run & BYO Picnic\, Sous Le Soleil at Roseville Park
DESCRIPTION:Following last years inaugural and very popular PMEA BYO picnic featuring MG cars in Roseville Park\, we are doing it again! This time to include Mini’s!! \nSurrounding the historic ‘The Firs” cottage\, there is plenty of room to park and spread out. \nPMEA have heaps of Mini’s and MGB’s\, and of course MGA’s\, Sprites and others\, so get your driving gloves out\, hat on \, roof down and enjoy the drive with your fellow MG’ers!! \nHopefully the sun will be shining. In the event of rain\, it will be postponed. \nOf course as always\, every other brand is welcome too\, just don’t get in the way of the MGB parade on the way!! \nIn the last quarter of the 19th century\, Richard Archbold Jnr built a two-roomed wooden cottage that became known as “The Firs”\, appropriately named after the large number of fir trees planted around the house. Today it is home of a very popular French Restaurant\, “Sous Le Soleil”.  \n‘The Kiosk’ at the side of this restaurant serves takeaway coffee and meals during the mornings. So BYO picnic supplies\, if you don’t want to bring your own coffee\, you can purchase at the kiosk. \nRoseville Park has plenty of free parking for our classic vehicles and there are plenty of trees to provide shade. The grounds are very extensive\, so plenty of space to spread out if required. \nToilet facilities within the grounds.  \nBring those PMEA windscreen banners and flags! \nMeet /Start: Meet 7.45am Mona Vale Library carpark. Depart 8.00am sharp.  \n *Wakehurst Parkway: additional pick up point for those on the lower beaches\, Dreadnought Rd Oxford Falls (western side of Wakehurst Parkway). We will watch for the cars to go past and then catch up. Departure time 8.20am from this location. \nWe travel via Wakehurst Parkway and Roseville Bridge to destination. \nDeparture: At your leisure \nCost: FREE !! \nNote: Plenty of parking\, but caution with sharing parking with tennis court players. Parking in street available also.   \nBooking: RSVP preferred but also just turn up if you wish. \n
