DESCRIPTION:Fagan Park has been described as “the crown jewel of Hornsby Shire’s parks.”  The park covers 55 hectares of undulating land and includes a range of activities. \nCome join PMEA with your historic vehicle to display and enjoy looking around the historic cottage and buildings and enjoying all things Australia Day! \nPMEA Members (and invited friends) ONLY.  Vehicles will be designated parking area on entry. \nWe will picnic lunch under the shady trees. Bring a picnic rug\, fold up chairs and a beach umbrella if you have one for extra shade. There are a number of shelters and electric barbecues further away\, if you wish to BYO snags. \nThere will also be a Feature Parade drive of classic vehicles through the grounds for the public to enjoy\, of which PMEA will be able to participate\, if you so desire. \nThis will be a great day out\, dress in your Aussie gear and bring those PMEA windscreen banners and flags! \nOther things to do include: \nExplore the Gardens of Many Nations\, which covers 10 hectares and has 11 themed gardens\, including Japanese\, Dutch\, Chinese and Mediterranean. \nLearn more about local history at Netherby Cottage\, the original Fagan family homestead\, and the adjoining museum. \nTake in the local bushland along a short bushwalking trail. Learn about sustainable gardening at the Eco Garden. \nFagan Park Information \nMeet /Start: Outside Bunnings Belrose on Mona Vale Rd\, before slip road to Narabang Way. Meet 8.45am -Depart 9.00 am.  \nApproximately 1 hour drive via Galston Gorge\, with ETA at Fagan Park 10.00am. SUMMARY:French & German Vehicles Run & BYO Picnic at Roseville Park
DESCRIPTION:Following last years inaugural and very popular PMEA BYO picnic featuring Mini’s and MG cars in Roseville Park\, we are doing it again! \nThis time we’ll be focusing on French and German branded manufacturers. We have an abundance of these vehicles within PMEA\, so whether you drive a Citroen 2CV\, Porsche 911 or Trabbie\, please dust it down and bring it along to this fun day. \nIn the last quarter of the 19th century\, Richard Archbold Jnr built a two-roomed wooden cottage that became known as “The Firs”\, appropriately named after the large number of fir trees planted around the house.  \nSurrounding the historic ‘The Firs” cottage\, there is plenty of room to park and spread out. \nHopefully the sun will be shining. In the event of rain\, it will be postponed. \nOf course as always\, every other brand is welcome too\, just don’t get in the way of our Euro contingent parade on the drive there!! \nBYO picnic supplies and chairs\, some tables are available too.  \nRoseville Park has plenty of free parking for our classic vehicles and there are plenty of trees to provide shade. The grounds are very extensive\, so plenty of space to spread out if required. \nToilet facilities within the grounds.  \nBring those PMEA windscreen banners and flags! \nMeet /Start: Meet 7.45am Mona Vale Library carpark. Depart 8.00am sharp.  \n *Wakehurst Parkway: additional pick up point for those on the lower beaches\, Dreadnought Rd Oxford Falls (western side of Wakehurst Parkway). We will watch for the cars to go past and then catch up. Departure time 8.20am from this location. \nWe travel via Wakehurst Parkway and Roseville Bridge to destination. \nDeparture: At your leisure \nCost: FREE !! \nNote: Plenty of parking\, but caution with sharing parking with tennis court players. DESCRIPTION:Leisurely drive via the ‘Old Pac’ scenic route to the Central Coast. \nThis is our 2nd PMEA ‘Convertibles Day Out’\, if you have a convertible please bring it along for some great motoring and scenery. \nOf course\, if you have any other type of vehicle\, you are still welcome to join us. Please ‘RSVP’ to ensure your place ASAP! \nWaterfall Cafe is nestled over the cascading ponds of the Mount Penang Parklands\, the gateway to the Central Coast. Set against the walkway entrance to the gardens themselves\, it is a beautiful place to eat or enjoy a coffee with friends. Easy to get to/from as well. \nThere is plenty of free close by parking and there are NO hills. \nClick Here for Waterfall Cafe Overview & Video \nMount Penang Gardens covers 8 hectares and is home to 1000 native plants\, with meandering pathways past themed gardens\, sculptures and magnificent water features. \nThe walking is quite easy and the few stairs can be avoided by following ‘no stairs pathway’. \nMeet /Start: Meet 7.30am Mona Vale Library carpark. Depart 7.45am sharp!!. We travel via Mona Vale Rd through St Ives\, Telegraph Rd Pymble through to Pacific Hwy\, then M1 to Mount White turn off\, then Old Pacific Highway to Calga and over Mooney Mooney Creek and follow Old Pacific Highway to Somersby/Kariong and then it’s only a short distance to destination. \nGoogle drive times: Approximately 1 hr 5min to 1hr 25mins drive. Distance is approximately 80km.  \n*Additional pick up: outside Bunnings Belrose on Mona Vale Rd\, before slip road to Narabang Way. Depart 8.00 am sharp!! \nRoute via  M1 Motorway to Mount White exit\, then as above. There is no detour this time via Cowan rest stop.  Return via M1 Motorway\, OR take the scenic way ‘Old Pac’ home again.  \nCafe Booking Time:  0930 a.m. for 40 persons. \nCost:  $5 per person.
