DESCRIPTION:***BOOKINGS WITH PMEA ARE NOW CLOSED**** \nShould PMEA members still be interested in coming\, please call direct to enquire about availability with Catherine on 0400 600 111. \nCome cruising with PMEA on the Hawkesbury Mail Boat\, the famous Riverboat Postman\, and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the lower Hawkesbury River as the mail and other essentials is delivered to the river-access-only settlements upriver from Brooklyn. We leave the wharf at 10am each weekday\, regardless of the weather - after all\, ‘the mail must get through’! \nThe first Riverboat Postman started the run in 1910\, and the tradition continues today with Hawkesbury Cruises\, the current custodian of this fabulous day trip. Our skippers are locals who have lived in the area their whole lives - be entertained by the stories of the river whilst cruising in comfort up this spectacular waterway. Be assured that at least 95% of what they say is true... \n Our coffee is real\, our tea is hot\, and our famous ANZAC biscuits are home-made daily to Grandma's recipe. We’ll give you a pretty fine lunch too! \nhttps://riverboatpostman.com.au/ \nMeet : 9.15 a.m. at The Riverboat Postman office\, right beside the Hawkesbury River train station\, 3 Dangar Rd Brooklyn.  \nDeparture is 10.00am sharp!!  \nDuration is approximately 3 hours 15 minutes.  \nDeparture: The Riverboat Postman returns to Brooklyn Marina at approximately 1.15 p.m. \nCost: Adults $69.00/Seniors $59.00. This includes morning tea after departure and a Ploughman's style lunch.  \n**Please advise the organiser if gluten free option is required immediately after booking** \nParking: Restrictions apply of up to 4 hours in the immediate vicinity\, however FREE unrestricted parking is available on the grass area at the top of the nearby hill\, off Dangar Rd and adjacent to McKell Park. Public toilets at this park also. It is then approximately a 10 minute walk to the nearby marina.
