DESCRIPTION:Hosted by manager Rob Harrington-Johnson\, we will visit the factory of PPC  (Permanent Paint Coatings)\, ‘The Rust Restoration’ Specialists and all of their products. \nPPC have been operating for over 20 years\, with marketing through 70 distributors around Australia. They have become experts in rust repair\, corrosion and general restoration in the motor\, marine and industrial areas. \nThe range of products is extensive\, from the well-known Bill Hirsch (USA) Miracle Rust Paints and Engine enamels\, Eastwood (USA) restoration paints and tools\, to Bilt – Hamber’s (UK) range of rust removers\, waxes\, and auto clay. \nPPC Co also imports and distributes a full range of Leatherique (USA) products. PPC Co can match existing dyes for a complete restoration. DESCRIPTION:Come along tonight with your wives or partners\, where we will learn of an interesting life of  one of our PMEA members\, Craig Goozee.  \nIn 1997\, Craig was part of an elite group of nine NSW Police officers … his work was secret to his family and also fellow Police… His role was to gather intelligence on Crime Syndicate and Drug Lord networks – and the corrupt Police who protected them. \nWhile working on Gymea\, one of the biggest operations of Craig’s career\, came the biggest blow of the Goozee’s lives. Their eldest daughter Jessica was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer – Ewing Sarcoma.  He had years of elite police training to combat crime…… he had no training as a father helping his daughter battle cancer. He decided to embark on a series of ultra marathons to raise money for Children’s Cancer research and to improve the conditions of the cancer ward he visited everyday. \nCraig now had three monumental challenges. Hear how all three corners of this story evolve\, interact and finally resolve is suspenseful\, dramatic and emotional. \nA true story of passion and endurance. DESCRIPTION:PMEA will again participate in the annual Shannon’s Display Day. \nLargest display of classic cars in NSW. Up to 2\,000 vehicles attend. You also get a chance to drive around the circuit as a group. This is a highlight on most club’s calendars every year. \nLots of stall holders with motoring books\, brick-a-brac available to purchase. An event not to be missed. \nMeet /Start: Meet Mona Vale Library carpark. Depart 7.15am sharp. \nAdditional pick up: outside Bunnings Belrose on Mona Vale Rd\, before slip road to Narabang Way. Depart 7.30 am.  \nRoute via Mona Vale Rd\, Ryde Bridge\, Concord Rd\, Homebush Bay Drive\, M4 to destination. SUMMARY:MG Run & BYO Picnic\, Sous Le Soleil at Roseville Park
DESCRIPTION:We are trying something new with our first PMEA BYO picnic featuring MG cars in Roseville Park\, surrounding the historic ‘The Firs” cottage. \nPMEA have heaps of MGB’s\, and of course MGA’s\, Sprites and others\, so get your driving gloves out\, hat on \, roof down and enjoy the drive with your fellow MG’ers!! \nHopefully the sun will be shining. In the event of rain\, it will be postponed. \nOf course as always\, every other brand is welcome too\, just don’t get in the way of the MGB parade on the way!! \nIn the last quarter of the 19th century\, Richard Archbold Jnr built a two-roomed wooden cottage that became known as “The Firs”\, appropriately named after the large number of fir trees planted around the house. Today it is home of a very popular French Restaurant\, “Sous Le Soleil”.  \n‘The Kiosk’ at the side of this restaurant serves takeaway coffee and meals during the mornings. So BYO picnic supplies\, if you don’t want to bring your own coffee\, you can purchase at the kiosk. \nRoseville Park has plenty of free parking for our classic vehicles and there are plenty of trees to provide shade. The grounds are very extensive\, so plenty of space to spread out if required. \nToilet facilities within the grounds.  \nBring those PMEA windscreen banners and flags! \nMeet /Start: Meet 7.45am Mona Vale Library carpark. Depart 8.00am sharp.  \n *Wakehurst Parkway: additional pick up point for those on the lower beaches\, Dreadnought Rd Oxford Falls (western side of Wakehurst Parkway). We will watch for the cars to go past and then catch up. Departure time 8.20am from this location. \nWe travel via Wakehurst Parkway and Roseville Bridge to destination. \nDeparture: At your leisure \nCost: FREE !! \nNote: Plenty of parking\, but caution with sharing parking with tennis court players. Parking in street available also.   \nBooking: RSVP preferred but also just turn up if you wish. \n
