Monthly Brunch Run – Waterfall Cafe, Mt Penang Parklands, Somersby/Kariong

Leisurely drive via the 'Old Pac' scenic route to the Central Coast. 

Waterfall Cafe is nestled over the cascading ponds of the Mount Penang Parklands, the gateway to the Central Coast. Set against the walkway entrance to the gardens themselves, it is a beautiful place to eat or enjoy a coffee with friends. See cafe video below.

Mount Penang Gardens covers 8 hectares and is home to 1000 native plants, with meandering pathways past themed gardens, sculptures and magnificent water features.

The walking is quite easy and the few stairs can be avoided by following 'no stairs pathway'.

 

Meet /Start: Kitchener Park car park Mona Vale (southern end). Meet from 9.45 am. We depart 10.am sharp.

Additional pick up: outside Bunnings Belrose on Mona Vale Rd, before slip road to Narabang Way. Depart 10.15 am.  Further pick-up Cowan truck stop rest area approx 10.45 am.

Route via  M1 Motorway to Berowra exit, then onto Old Pacific Hwy at Cowan (pick-up and toilet stop if required) then immediate departure Old Pacific Hwy and over Hawkesbury River to Calga ('Old Pac') through Mooney Mooney Creek to Somersby/Kariong.  Return via M1 Motorway.
